Terms of Use

By installing or using a Castario app or receiver route made available by the provider, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the product. Legal operator: Castario · Mahmoud Khawatmi · Einzelunternehmer; contact: support@castario.de.

Castario is a casting and mirroring utility. Casting hands a selected photo, media item, page or IPTV channel to a television playback route. Screen mirroring continuously sends a captured phone display to a compatible native Castario receiver. A route that supports casting does not automatically support mirroring.

Castario is not a content service. It provides no films, television channels, music, IPTV subscriptions or streaming-service access. Hosting the website and Custom Web Receiver software does not make Castario a cloud media proxy or content host.

• The first public mobile sender is planned for iPhone and iPad. Until an App Store link is shown, it is not represented as publicly downloadable.
• Android Mobile is part of the product family but is still a development build and is not a public download. These terms do not promise a release date or feature parity.
• Native receiver paths cover Fire TV on Fire OS, Fire TV Select on Vega OS, Android TV and Google TV, subject to their actual distribution state and device capabilities.
• Chromecast and Google Cast use the Castario Custom Web Receiver; compatible standard TVs may use DLNA. Neither route supports Castario screen mirroring.

• A supported Castario mobile sender build and a television route that supports the feature you choose.
• For screen mirroring, a compatible native Castario receiver. Installing that receiver is not mandatory for Google Cast or compatible standard media playback.
• A local network on which the phone and television can reach one another. Guest, hotel or managed networks that isolate devices can prevent discovery, pairing or playback.
• Compatible media, codecs, services and permissions. A device family or brand alone is not proof that a specific feature or file will work.

You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use supported Castario software on devices you own or control, for private use and in accordance with the applicable app-store usage rules. You may not redistribute, sell, rent, sublicense, decompile or modify it except where applicable law permits that regardless of this clause.

• Photos, videos and music come from items you select; web pages and searches are the ones you open; IPTV channels come from playlists you add yourself.
• Castario does not provide, host, sell, curate, index or distribute television channels, streams or IPTV subscriptions.
• You are responsible for having the right to access, cast and display the content and for complying with the provider's terms.
• You must not use Castario to access unauthorised copies or to evade DRM, capture restrictions, access controls or other technical protection measures.
• Playlist metadata is user- or provider-supplied and is not verified by Castario. Support will not supply playlists or ask for provider credentials.

• Do not use Castario to infringe copyright, privacy or any other right.
• Do not attack, disrupt or bypass the security of Castario, a television, a network or a third-party service.
• Do not use a network or device you are not authorised to use, or use the product where doing so is unlawful.

• In the current iPhone and iPad product, native-receiver screen mirroring and sending your own photos, videos and music are free. The subscription covers the browser package and your own IPTV playlists.
• Monthly or yearly price, billing period, renewal and any introductory offer are shown by the App Store and on the purchase screen before you buy.
• Apple handles payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds through your Apple Account. Purchases can be restored through StoreKit. A purchase belongs to that store account and does not automatically carry to another mobile platform.
• Android Mobile has no public purchase offering at present. If it is released, Google Play Billing and the terms displayed there will govern its separate store entitlement. Google Play developer contact: dev@castario.de.
• Native television receiver apps and the Google Cast receiver route are free and contain no separate TV purchase.

Castario works with hardware and services not controlled by the provider: phones, televisions, routers, app stores, Google Cast, websites, search engines and IPTV providers. Their availability, terms, privacy practices and technical limits apply alongside these terms. A standard-compatible television decides what it accepts; Google Cast decides which Cast capabilities and media formats it provides.

Castario, its name, logo, interface and software are operated by Castario · Mahmoud Khawatmi · Einzelunternehmer and protected by applicable rights. These terms grant a licence to use the product and transfer no ownership.

Third-party components and services remain subject to their own licences and terms, including the WebRTC components, filter-list licences and Google Cast SDK terms. Notices supplied with a build remain unaffected by these terms.

Features, receiver routes and supported platform versions may change or be discontinued, including when an operating system, app store, device or third-party service changes. No future Android release, receiver store listing or support for a particular television is promised. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

• Casting and mirroring may have delay. No resolution, picture quality, zero-lag result or 4K output is promised.
• Google Cast and DLNA do not provide Castario screen mirroring. Native receiver capabilities can still vary by platform, protocol version and device.
• DRM-protected or capture-protected apps and content may show no picture or refuse playback. Castario does not bypass those protections.
• No promise is made that every television, codec, file, page, IPTV channel, advert, popup or streaming service will work or be blocked.
• The mobile browser, native receivers and Google Cast have different ad-, tracker-, popup- and navigation-control capabilities.
• A network that isolates devices or a third-party service that changes its behaviour can prevent the product from working.
• A supported credential-protected HLS channel may use a temporary relay on the iPhone when the television route cannot carry its headers. That playback depends on the phone app remaining available and stops if the phone-side session ends.

The product is provided as available. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights or warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, the provider is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost data, or loss caused by content you supplied or by a third-party device, network, platform or service. Liability for intent and gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and mandatory product-liability and consumer law remains unaffected.

You may stop using Castario at any time and remove its apps or local data. A store subscription continues until you cancel it through the relevant store. The provider may terminate the licence for a serious breach of these terms, subject to mandatory law.

• This agreement is between you and the Castario provider, not Apple. The provider, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content, maintenance and support.
• If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for any refund Apple is required to provide. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
• The provider, not Apple, is responsible for product, regulatory, consumer-protection and intellectual-property claims relating to the app, subject to applicable law.
• You represent that you are not in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and are not on a United States Government restricted-party list.
• You must comply with applicable third-party terms. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them after your acceptance.

These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection in the country of your habitual residence.
